How To Stop Gray Hair
Did You Know That . . .
Gray hair isn't really gray? The gray hair we see are actually transparent. Next to colored hair, the transparent hair appears to be gray.
Gray hair isn't always due to old age. Take American Idol winner Taylor Hicks for example or the comedian Stave Martin. They both had gray hair prematurely. Some people don't mind having gray hair. But for people like you (you probably wouldn't be reading this if you like having gray hair), you'd rather have healthy looking non-gray hair.
Lets talk about how to stop gray hair caused by aging. You probably can't really stop gray hair but you can put up a good fight. Here's what you can do:
Check for underlying causes
Gray hair can be caused by underlying medical conditions like hyperthyroidism, hypothyroidism, gastric bypass, Crohn's disease, celiac disease, or by parasites in the body. Note that having premature gray hair doesn't mean you have the above mentioned diseases. If you know that you have the conditions stated above and you have gray hair, you may further investigate if the graying of your hair is related to the said conditions.
Drink wheat grass juice
It could take a few months before you see results but drinking 2 to 3 oz of whet grass juice every day can very effective in stopping your hair from graying.
Don't forget your PABA
PABA or para amino benzoic acid promotes hair growth. PABA will not blacken your hair but it will prevent more gray hair from showing. PABA can be found in dairy products, eggs, molasses and whole grains.
Take B Vitamins
Make sure that you have enough B vitamins. B vitamins are essential in producing the pigments of your hair.
