7 Ways To Reduce Under Eye Wrinkles
Wrinkles happen. That's a fact of life. It's as inevitable as taxes. But sometimes wrinkles appear when they're not yet supposed to appear. There are things that we do that speed up the appearance of wrinkles.
The under eye wrinkles can make you look a lot older than you really are. In this hub, I'll show you how to prevent the early onset of under eye wrinkles and how to reverse the condition if it's already there.
Get Enough Sleep
The skin under the eyes is very sensitive to lack of sleep. Notice how you easily develop "eye bags" when you've had little sleep. Getting enough sleep can be hard what with the busy lives that we lead. But do take some time to get enough sleep. It's good for the skin under your eyes and good for your entire body.
Drink Up
Dehydration causes wrinkly skin. So drink up. NOT alcoholic drinks though. Alcoholic drinks can cause dehydration.
You know, 8 glasses of water a day and all that. Water is refreshing and help revitalize skin.
The Magic of Cucumbers
This is one of the most effective home remedies not just for under eye wrinkles for other conditions such as dark spots around the eyes, eye bags, etc. So go ahead and slice a cucumber and place one on each eye while you relax. Twenty minutes should be enough to benefit from the refreshing cucumber.
Easy on the Vices
Too much alcohol and caffeine dehydrates your body. Not good if you want to get rid of those under eye wrinkles. Smoking also makes your skin develop wrinkles prematurely. Stay away from smoke (pollutants count too).
Use Topical Solutions
Although probably not a permanent solution, using creams and gels can help reduce the appearance of wrinkles. The downside is that you have to use these regularly or you'll be seeing the wrinkles gradually come back.
Be Gentle
Try not to scrub or wipe your eyes vigorously. I know that for some people, this can be challenging because they've developed a habit of scrubbing they're eyes. Scrubbing too hard CAUSE WRINKLES.
Less is More
For the more senior women, it is common to think that putting a lot of make up to cover the wrinkles is a good idea. NOT!
Putting a lot of make up only highlights the deep wrinkles. So, when applying make up under the eyes, less is more.
